Monarch Airlines was founded in 1967 by  Monarch Holdings Limited in United Kingdom. Monarch Airlines’s headquarters are currently located in Luton and the main base in Luton Airport. Monarch Airlines is not a star alliance member. Andrew Swaffield leads the company as the CEO.

It has declared € 290,000,000 in revenue. Monarch Airlines offers service in 43 countries and they have carried more than  3.4 million passengers in 2017.
