Ethiopian Airlines was founded in 1945 in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines’s headquarters are currently located in Addis Ababa and the main base in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Ethiopian Airlines is not a star alliance member.  Tewolde Gebremariam  leads the company as the CEO. Its subsidiaries include Asky, Eritrean Airlines and Malawian Airlines.

Ethiopian Airlines employs more than 13,942 employees worldwide and operates a mainline fleet of more than 83 aircraft. It has declared $ 2,710,000,000  in revenue. Ethiopian Airlines offers service to 113 destinations in 61 countries and they have carried more than 7.6 million passengers in 2016. Stockholm-Oslo,Kuala Lumpur-Singapore,Jeddah-Khartoum,Riyadh-Khartoum,Cairo- Addis Ababa,Singapore-Kuala Lumpur,Tokyo-Seoul are some of the main flight destinations.
